First I will start with my name is Gary Zillyette. I was originally from Des Moines, Iowa and through a series of events ended up in the Iowa City /  Coralville area. I started out in the hobby like most with a Fuji point & shoot camera. After having many discussions with a really good friend of mine I decided to attempt photography in a new light. So I purchased an advanced zoom camera and started buying and reading books on the hobby. Once I discovered the dynamics of photography I soon moved up to a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera. I really liked the fact that you could change lenses and the variety this pro line of cameras offered.
 

   By now I had been doing a lot of research on which camera brand I would want to go with. Well I settled on Nikon. I like the way their cameras felt in my hands and the features that they offered.

    So without boring you anymore, that is where I am at now. I use a Nikon D80 DSLR and have the Nikon D60 DSLR as a back up camera. I have a variety of lenses to get the look and photos I want and am looking for.
